The Way of the Pharisees #11

This has been very informative for me. I did know about Rabbi Hillel to some magnitude and how many people listened to him. It was never pointed out to me that it was a big deal that Yeshua would dare to correct Hillel’s teaching.

Great concern came across my mind when you opened the door to the Trodden Path, the Pharisaical halachal teaching and or way of living. I had no idea that Pharisees thought this way. It was hard for me at first to imagine why anyone would want to live like this. But as you pointed out they exposed themselves to evil spirits, therefore now they were guided by those evil spirits.

The Pharisees clearly injected the worship of false gods and abominations into the Torah way and called it Oral Torah. They kept side stepping the truth so much so that it doesn’t even resemble the Torah. It appears strongly that they had word play to justify there way of life.

We call that massaging a point in America.

This seems familiar! Oh Yeah, this is what I am trying to get away from.

This is word play, to justify why we do what we do in the church. Does it matter what the real Word of God says and mean? No, just that it’s different now because people don’t live like that anymore. We have to change it a bit to keep up with the times. Sort of like when Jesus lifted up the bread and prayed at the so called last supper. What did he pray? God is good, God is great. No one could tell me when I asked and this bugged me for years. All they could say is he gave thanks. Great I feel much better now; next time can I get a deeper massage? I’m being sarcastic.

If everyone would listen to this program The Way of the Pharisee. Look at how these people got off track by self appointed leaders of the Torah. Take this and apply it to their personal walk with God. Look intently at what the traditions of man are verses the Word of God and try to poke holes in them both. You would come up with the conclusion that we have strayed so far from Yahweh’s ways. We just can’t point the finger at groups of people. We have to point the finger at ourselves and ask Yeshua to walk us back to Yahweh.

This has strengthened my resilience to study harder on what I read and what is taught.

Thanks again for another great program! The Moses seat was intense. I came upon that before but your explanation of the whole situation was very straight forward and in depth.

Shalom!

Eliyahu ben David, question.

As I have been thinking about this teaching a thought crossed my mind. The Pharisee Halachah way of living. Could this also be a factor that the christian church also used to sever ties with the Jews (Israel)?

Your comments please.
