What can I say "Twigville"!

This is a great teaching! Here we have again in the Hebrew flavor names that truly mean something. I learned a few years ago Bethlehem means House of Bread and Yeshua is our bread and now as quoted "The English word "Nazareth" is here translated from the Greek "Nazaret."
That in turn is from a Hebrew/Aramaic root meaning "twig" and could be literally translated as "twig-town" or "twig-ville."

This is great to know because it just makes more sense when reading different parts of scripture with words like root of Jesse, a shoot etc.

This teaching also pointed out what a responsiblility these people had and how they were keeping the Davidic lineage alive. Plus what humble people they were. A royal line living in a tiny place trying to be as unnoticeable as they could. But they had a purpose!

So many times in our lives we want to be noticed but we have the wrong purpose. If we could just embrace the purpose we will be noticed by the greatest, Yahweh!

Help me lord to embrace your purpose all the days of my life. Help me to remember what came out of Twigville, when people purposed in their heart the marching orders from you! AMEN!

12But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.
13The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
Ecclesiastes 12
