Shalom! In regards to the above RAW SALAD diet, add in fresh green beansprouts, nuts, mugbeans, etc will boost your PROTEIN
intake. Using Sea-salt, unrefined, will give minerals like potassium, and taste!
I love pine nuts,  almonds,  olives (and cheese), with virgin Olive oil in my salads.  Cheesy
Back to days of Eden  Cheesy, no meat intake, Adahm and Chavah were eating off the herbs and trees (fruits) in the Garden!! No lack
of proteins there. List of proteins might help:

I'm a little confused, Ester.  This is a raw foods diet but the first items listed below are cooked beans, right? Beans are not complete protein. However, if you are including raw dairy products (raw milk is not legal in most states, only CA I think, though it is obtainable in most, espec. raw goat milk), then we have a lactovegetarian diet. Include raw egg yolks in your smoothie and you can certainly do well for a month!

Raw nuts contain an enzyme inhibitor that is not healthy.  To neutralize that they should be soaked 24 hrs. and then baked on low heat.

Regarding Adam and Eve's diet, it so happens that as a nutrition research scientist I wrote a book about that ("Eatin' After Eden - The Meat of the Word" released last Aug.), explaining why the Edenic diet is not available today. Further, the human body no longer produces the essential amino acids (protein), vitamins B12 and C, et al, plus digestion is inferior by comparison. However, the Creator in His love and mercy, provided Plan B after the Fall.

As I understand it this is a detoxifying diet for 30 days only, correct? If so, a lower protein level to give the body a rest is healthy. If we are consuming the diet temporarily to cure diabetes, it is only logical that if that were achieved and one returns to the old diet they will develop the same blood sugar dysregulation again. Duhhhh.

Some may find "Life Without Bread" by Alan & Lutz to be of interest. He tells of curing diabetes often in his 40 year practice. Though he employed a low glycemic diet which worked very well, I would hesitate to recommend some of the "industrialized foods" mentioned in the book. Otherwise it's a great read for the most part.

Am working with my webmaster for a redesigned website as I write this. Must get back to that. More anon.

Shalom

Shalom EAE,

You are right; my choice of salad with cheese is not part of the Raw Salad diet, just a side comment.
It is the usual fresh salad that I like, with lots of olives. But that's outside of this topic expressed in the video
meant for diabetes.

Yes, some of the beans need to be cooked like the ones listed in my reply; some need not- e.g . mugbeans, beansprouts,
broadbeans, long beans.

Pine-nuts lightly roasted in a pan adds extra flavour to fresh salads. I enjoy raw almonds and pistachios too.
I would say, we are different one from another, under environmental, physical and emotional influences at the time
of conception and growing up process?
Some would have better tolerance than others for certain foods; as taste, or preference for certain flavours would affect
a person's health and immunity.

There would be so many other factors concerned, such as air pollution, sprays, toxic chemicals in water, food produce, to name a few,
that would affect our health as well.

If the Raw Salad is kept with a balanced healthy diet,  on a regular basis, after the 30days, I am pretty sure, the diabetes would be gone.
Folks are reminded they need to eat wisely and be responsible for self- control on a long- term basis.
Constant consumption of refined white bread and over-processed foods,  are some of the causes of diabetes.

Appreciate your interesting feedback! Looking forward to hearing more from you; and to hear more about your book-Meat of The Word!
Blessings to your new redesigned website.
